We rang in the new year with the hope and rejuvenation embodied by the promise of possibility. We also honored those people making a difference in our respective and collective communities who, as the Tournament of Roses President said, “quietly and without desire for reward and recognition, act in selfless, generous and kind ways to aid or benefit others.”
One person who has always modeled those attributes is my friend and colaborer, Chip Grizzard, who recently announced that he is choosing to retire from agency life. Chip helped successfully see us through our merger, and he leaves the agency in a strong position for the future. His 34-year career stands as a testimony to one person Making a Difference.
With this in mind, I am humbly reminded of the ways in which we have been privileged to walk alongside you this past year as you tirelessly and selflessly work to help others. I am continually inspired by our clients’ commitment to helping make the world a better place, often one meal, one night of shelter, or one smile at a time. As the Rose Parade reminded me,
it is important to take time to thank those who do so much and yet say, over and over again and without fail, “We can do a little more.” You truly are those people, and I am honored to know and work with you.
I know that I speak for everyone here when I say that we are thankful and privileged to be a part of your hard work of transforming, and making a difference, one life at a time.
Blessings to you as you take on 2018 with God’s help!
